Borrower Information

Library Cards:

• Any resident of Curry County or the surrounding areas, age 6 and older, can get a free library card.

• Application forms are available at the circulation desk.

• Please bring proof of your mailing address on either an ID card or on mail that you have received at that address.

• Parents must sign applications for borrowers under 18 years of age.
   

Check-out Policy:

• You must have your library card to check-out books and media.

• The replacement fee for a library card is $1.00

• Parents are ultimately responsible for lost books.

• There is a limit of seven (7) books on one subject.

• Most videos are checked out for one day only.

• You may check out two (2) movies per card and six (6) per family.

• Twelve (12) magazines may be checked out, but only five (5) of the same title.

• Check out limit for books-on-tape is five (5).

• Check out limit for children's books with cassettes is five (5).

• Books are due two weeks from the day that they are checked out, with a three day grace period.

• The overdue fine is $.05 a day from the date stamped on the card.

• You may renew books over the phone or online.

• Late fees for movies are $2.00 a day - movies must be returned inside the building.

• There is a $2.00 fine for videos left in the outside drop box.

• For you convenience, a drive-thru BOOK drop is located on the 7th St. side of the building.

• Please return all non-book materials inside the building to prevent damage to them.

• Inside the library, return books and videos in the drop box, not on the counter.
