VIDEOCASSETTE LENDING AGREEMENT

I.          General Information

 

            A. Videocassettes are copyright material.  Illegal duplication is prohibited by Federal law.
                 Any person using Library video cassettes is responsible for any infringement of the copyright law.

B.        Excessive heat or cold will damage videocassettes.  DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN YOUR CAR, DIRECT SUNLIGHT, OR IN THE BOOKDROP.

C.        PLEASE REWIND ALL VIDEOCASSETTES BEFORE RETURNING THEM TO THE LIBRARY.

D.        If you have a problem with a videocassette, please notify the Library.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR A VIDEOCASSETTE YOURSELF.

E.        The Library is not responsible for damages to your equipment during the use of Library videocassettes.

 

II.         Circulation Policies

 

A.       You must present your current Library Borrower's Card in order to check out videocassettes.

B.        You may check out two cassettes per card per day.  Families are limited to six videocassettes per household per day.

C.        Videocassettes must be returned to the Library 30 minutes before closing on the due date.  MOST VIDEOS CIRCULATE OVERNIGHT ONLY.  Please pay attention to the date stamped on the card in the album pocket.

D.        The fine for overdue videocassettes is $2.00 per day, each.

E.         You will be charged $2.00 each for videocassettes left in the book drop, and you will be liable for any resulting damage.  Videocassettes are to be RETURNED TO THE CIRCULATION DESK.

F.         You are responsible for each videocassette checked out on your card from the time of checkout until it is returned. Parents are responsible for videos borrowed by their minor children.

G.        Lost or damaged videocassettes while in your possession will be billed to you for full replacement cost.  All videocassettes will be inspected upon return.
